From Science to Skin – A Passion for Preventative and Cosmetic Care
Dr Ann-Marie Almeida’s journey into medicine began with a Bachelor of Biomedical Science before completing her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Queensland. Her early training took her from hospitals in Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast, where she later completed her fellowship as a General Practitioner. Today, she continues to work in both general and skin cancer medicine, with additional qualifications in skin cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.

A Natural Approach to Cosmetic Medicine
In 2017, Dr Ann-Marie began further training in aesthetic medicine, recognising the strong link between healthy skin, prevention, and rejuvenation. Her approach to cosmetic care is grounded in balance and subtlety — combining medical knowledge with a focus on enhancing natural features through non-surgical treatments.

She believes in taking the time to understand each client’s concerns and goals, beginning with a detailed consultation and honest, personalised advice. Her aim is to help people feel refreshed, supported, and confident in their skin — not changed.

Dr Ann-Marie is dedicated to ongoing professional development and stays up to date with current research and innovations in cosmetic medicine. She is equally passionate about patient education, ensuring clients feel informed every step of the way.

Beyond the Clinic
Originally from a small rural town in the Northern Territory, Dr Ann-Marie now calls Brisbane home. Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, cycling, spending time by the beach, and indoor rock climbing.
